Mohammed Mohtasib
Manager – Protec Energy
Mohtasib joined our office as a Manager of Protec Energy Division in September 2019. He actively leads the energy efficiency and power quality service division, with a goal to reduce energy consumption of industrial and commercial establishments.
Mohtasib is responsible for conducting energy audits, identification of energy saving opportunities and assisting clients (industrial and commercial) in implementing these opportunities. Mohtasib is also responsible for the technical analysis of power quality issues and identification of solutions to mitigate power quality issues. He is also involved in conducting webinars and training programs on energy efficiency and power quality. Mohtasib had published application notes on power quality for sectors like IT/ITeS/Data Center and was on the technical committee for making US-GBC rating system – PEER, Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal.
Mohtasib holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Electronics and Power from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. He is a certified energy auditor (CEA), certified energy manager (CEM), certified measurement and verification professional (CMVP) and ISO 50001 auditor. He is also a technical consultant to Asia Power Quality Initiative, and is a Member of the Saudi Council of Engineers and AEE.
